No keyboard detected - help

  1. right, it says no keyboard detected with my wireless keyboard even though the keyboard it self says its working it wont work on the log in screen.
    i tried a different keyboard (brand new) which is wired usb and this still doesnt work

    btw i have no password and only have to click enter or click log in to get onto my desktop.
    annoyingly my usb wired mouse also isnt working

    i know of a few people thats had this problem but i dont know anyway i can get around it !
    any help is apreciated.

    USB ports can be the first things that can go on a faulty Motherboard

    Just in case, try this

    Boot up with any type of Boot disc (ie your Windows disc)
    Go to the command line (If using Windows disc, you would need to select R to get into the Recovery Console)

    Then test if your keyboard works (actually getting passed "R" would prove it anyway)

    If it does work, you may actually have a Virus\Trojan in Windows
    Or the USB device driver may be corrupt
    You would be best to Re-install Windows
