No sound device drivers

    Hello, for the past month I've been without sound on my computer. There is a red X on the speaker,when I run the cursor over the speaker a message appears that says the audio service is not running,whenever I click on it Im prompt to turn on audio but when the box appears my drivers aren't there.. Please help :(

    Try enabling both the Plug and Play service first and then Windows Audio service. See the steps HERE

    I tried what was suggested and it didn't help.. I may just toss this computer..ugh :(

    Have you also tried reinstalling the audio driver? go to the Gateway support site, find the model # and they should provide the audio driver. Try reinstalling it
