No sound on my computer

I have an HP Pavilion 061.
X86 based pc.
Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1.

I don't know much about computers, but someone gave me this computer a while back & when I installed Windows 7 on it recently, the sound stopped working. Not even a headset. I don't have any cds, so I don't know what to install. But it says Multimedia Audio Controller not installed.

I went into system information & problem devices and this is what i got:

Multimedia Audio Controller PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_0111&SUBSYS_011113F6&REV_10\4&254543F0&0&28F0
Error code: The drivers for this device not installed.

I don't know what drivers I need.
Please help! :(

I took the liberty in doing a little research in regards to your HP Pavilion 061 computer. I want you to try something, almost all the sources I looked at say your rig's sound solution requires the Realtek High Definition Audio driver. I want you to click on the provided hyperlink and got to the web site, down bellow you will see the "download" button, click it, save the file, open it up after it saves, it should be ".exe", and should start the install automatically. If not, and it opens up a file folder, just select the "setup" icon and go from there.

This driver should work, for again, most of what I saw said this one will do the trick and is meant for your system.

Good luck and please let us know what happens.... :)

Update Edit : Found another one just in case that original one I gave you doesn't pan out!
