No sound

I am not very tech savvy. I have a basic computer (emachine), it runs on windowsXP. I uninstalled some stuff and I think I uninstalled my audio stuff because now I have no sound. when I open my sounds tab it says no audio devices and it wont let me adjust volume. I tried to reinstall realtek but nothing is working

If you have tried downloading & installing the audio drivers already, maybe you could try a repair (not full!) install of XP, this replaces the OS but keeps your data?

You could also try a system restore point. From a time before you uninstall your stuff. This may solve your problem.
