Norton antivirus shuts computor during scan

    During a full scan my computor shuts down. I am using Norton antivirus 2004. I am running windows xp service pack 2. The computor turns off an a different

    Shuts off ie. you have to manually switch back on again or REBOOTS...a world of difference in any replies pending depending on your answer.

    If it happens only during virus scans then you have a virus. Norton is the first thing those buggers disable. Use some other virus scanner like the free online scan from www.trendmicro.com
