Not sure if i cooked my motherboard

    Hi guys, I Have been having a heck of a time reloading windows xp wiped drive and everything but it wont let me reinstall xp pro, so I thought maybee resetting bios may help, well its been a while since i had seen it done my son showed me about a year ago how to use the jbat jumper so i turned off pc jumped to the other pins fired it up the shut it off and returned the pins to normal, problem is i dont think i was supposed to power up when it was switched and i dont see anything on my monitor, did i cook my board? or prossesor, please help any input would be a big help thanks,

    I think it is likely that you've damaged or destroyed the motherboard. I'm sure you read the warning in the manual but after the fact. It appears you'll need a new board.

    disassemble to the simplest configuration and try to boot.
