hello , can i use the laptop powersupply with aircraft 115v 400hz to use laptop during flight ,or not, if not , why?

Your laptop should have a battery so why don't you use it with that.... I don't know anything about aircrafts power supplys.... hope you'll find a better answer. Cheers

To quote the manual of a portable ship/plane computer device:
E-Board XP3 comes with an AC adapter configured for “household” AC. (100-240V @
50/60Hz) The provided adapter cannot be connected to aircraft operating on AC power
configured for 100-240V @ 400Hz for long periods of time. This will cause the adapter
to overheat and possibly melt.
I'm pretty sure this is the same for vanilla laptop adapters.

The plane may have 400Hz-50Hz converters (ask the friendly crew) and you can buy your own of course. There are also special power supplies available that can take anything from 50Hz to 400Hz.

Heh, says can't be connected for "long periods of time" so I guess that means you can use it for short periods of time. If it blows up or melts you can probably sue the manufacturer, unless you get hauled off to jail for being a terrorist trying to take down a commercial flight.
