Nothing can detect the GPU temperature of my x1800XL

So i got a new used card and it seems to be running fine. But when I wanted to check my card temps I realized that a catalyst control center showed the GPU temp as (0). Clearly it's not 0 degrees. And Everest home edition didn't show the GPU or CPU in the "sensor" section at all.

This is really only a concern for me because I still have my **** stock dell case and the air flow inside is almost nothing. Right now I have my card's fan running while i'm merely posting on a forum.

    So help, please?

The 0 degrees in CCC is likely screen orientation (it shows as 0 degrees).

Have you tried ATI Tray Tool? If your board indeed has a thermal/temp sensor, ATI Tray Tools is likely your best bet for getting a reading from it.

    Hehe. OEM.

Got it from newegg. Like $170ish marked down from like $320 because it was open box. What a great deal. :D

    NEW QUESTION

I got that ATI tray tool. Works great. Thanks.

But now i have new concerns. My card is idling at 80 degrees. What the ****. I know my case has horrible air flow (as i still have a stock Dell brand case, yech) But still, that's really hot.
