nvidia 7600gt xfx vs X1800gto or any models above the x1800gto? which one is better?

hi all im just wondering what you guys would recommend a 7600gt XFX or a
X1800GTO or any above the GTO im not sure which one is better for the games i play i was thinking of radeon beause of HDR lighting i think its called i play games such as half life 2 counter strike source F.E.A.R. so any ideas or recommandations would be greatly apprecieated

If you can cough up the extra $10-$20 dollars (you're from America right) the general consensus seems to be from what I've read that the x1800 gto is the better card. Plus, another member, Rage_3k_moiz, often mentions that you can unlock more pixel pipelines on the x1800 gto, making it as good as a x1800 xl card, which is cool. im actually from Australia and dont know what the cheapest place to buy the card from i think it is www.msy.com.au if anyone knows of one cheaper do tell

Umm, paranoid guy, I said that for the X800GTO, not the X1800GTO. If u want a good card bcurko, get a 7900GT instead of the X1800 series from ATi. They're terribly noisy cards(I have 2 X1900s and they're as loud as a lawnmower!) and plus the NVIDIA card doesn't emit as much heat as the Radeons.
If the 7900GT is out of ur budget then go for the 7600GT instead. The X1800 series cards aren't as good as the later X1900 series cards so avoid them and go instead for the 7900GT or the 7600GT if it's more affordable for u.
If u have more cash to burn, then by all means get the X1900XT. It will run every game u throw at it on full settings.

Radeon Better Or Nvidia

so if its in my budget go for the 7900GT espically or go for a X1900XT but mainly im looking at a mid range card to perhaps depending on how much the 7900GT is and X1900XT i might go for one of them ! otherwise then im lookin at the X1800GTO or 7600GT XFX still...

Leave the X1800GTO as far as possible and go for the 7600GT. The X1800GTO is not worth the price IMO.
