Nvidia brings 3D Vision support with new mobile GPU drivers

Not to be outdone by AMD, Nvidia today released a new set of Verde drivers (v197.16) for notebooks, which offers a number of tweaks and new features.

SLI support has been added or improved for Assassin's Creed II, Avatar, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Command and Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight, Dirt 2, Mass Effect 2, Metro 33, Napoleon: Total War, Supreme Commander 2, WoW and more.

Other additions include support for 3D Vision technology on external displays, upgraded PhysX and HD audio, numerous bug fixes, and of course, performance enhancements:

  • Up to 13% performance increase in Crysis: Warhead with a single GPU
  • Up to 30% performance increase in Crysis: Warhead with SLI technology
  • Up to 13% performance increase in H.A.W.X with single GPU
  • Up to 15% performance increase in H.A.W.X with SLI technology
  • Up to 30% performance increase in Left 4 Dead with single GPU
  • Up to 28% performance increase in Left 4 Dead with SLI technology

The new driver is compatible with most of Nvidia's mobile products, including GeForce 8M, 9M, 100M, 200M, 300M, Ion, NVS, Quadro NVS, and Quadro FX-series graphics chips. You can download the 3D Vision CD kit here, or the standalone driver below.

I swear the guy above me is some kind of AI feed from a scientist in japan? they don't really make any sense?

Anyway at least one thing Nvidia is doing right, improving their drivers for better performance. When compared to the new fermi card which lets face it, was a fail from Nvidia.
