Nvidia Forceware update?

With what above is said I tried to update the drivers on my video cards last night:

NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT TurboCache - PCI Express x16

....
and it came back as no new updates available.

I did the:

device manager/right click video card/ search for driver updates/ came back with nothing new.

Am I missing something? Do I need to go hunt down the drivers, delete my old ones and manually instal the new ones?

No, leave it alone if everything is working. nVidia is saying you already have what is available for your equipment... I suspect your 8600M GT already has what it needs. Those new downloads are generally for devices with model numbers starting with 9... and for Vista and Windows 7 machines. You may have already had what you needed before the announcement was official.
