Imagine if nVidia never relaunched the 4080 12GB as the 4070 Ti. We’d literally be calling one of these cards a 4070. We would be in a world where performance actually DECREASED from the previous generation. And x50 sized dies being sold as x70. That’s just nuts.

The 4060 and 4060ti 8/16 is NVidia saying that with you putting $750 - $1700 into a build, they think you should only be able to play 1080.

And if you go higher, Nvidia thinks they should be able to break your PCIe slot and burn out your power supply.

But this is par for the course for Nvidia. You have to skip every other generation with the Leather Jacket

it's only 5-6% better in raster perf but with 50% power.
Only downside is 128bit and 8GB.
If you care about power 1080ti could last one or more years.
