Office 2016 arrives on the PC with an emphasis on teamwork and cloud features

That way corporate can flush you down the drain. There are such times when you don't want to conform, in spite of being told it is the right thing to do. If you want to be a blind follower and jump off bridges*, that is your choice.

*Yeah I took that to the extreme on purpose.

lol ya you did. And I'm not sure where you are going with the blind thing.
I would think the person that refuses to upgrade is the one that is blind one.

Corporate flushing people down the drain is part of that world and always will be after we both gone from this planet. Unless you are the sole owner of your company you will always be answering to someone else.

I'm trying to get you to admit you was wrong saying people shouldn't have a vote in what goes on in the tech world, simply because they are not the authors/engineers. That is where I was going with the blind thing. If you are not gonna voice your disagreeing opinions, you are blindly following. And anyone such as yourself that steps in trying to silence others opinions on tech is even worse.

I will never admit that because that isn't something I said or agree with.
Obviously customer feedback is important in all the office products!

And now you are just projecting your own opinions on me. how am I trying to silence him? Me and someone else thought the reasons he provided weren't accurate and then I gave my opinon why. I never once attempted to silence the guy he is free to post and continue the discussion.

Why do you feel to the need to be his cheerleader lets wait for him to read the post and answer it if he comes back. He doesn't need you to defend him.

Perhaps I came to a wrong conclusion as our comments continued.

I was defending myself as I see myself being humiliated simply because I have spoken out and continue to do so against the very thing you mentioned. You are telling me I should conform for the sake of conforming, simple because the authors say it is the next best thing. NO! I will conform when I say it is the next best thing. My argument is that you are in so many words ridiculing us for voicing our wish to keep a few things along the way. Which by the way has proven to produce positive results several times in recent history. But here you are saying we should shut up and accept change (yes you did say this) cause there is nothing we can do to influence corporate.

The thing is, basically and to not confuse anyone, to how we speak about things, one simple poor choice of words can ruin a whole project.

When I say, I like Office 2010 because it suits my needs, it's pretty loud and clear, there is no one that can push you around for it, maybe someone could say "hey! Office 365 has awesome sharing capabilities and multi-user support, also versioning is better and with lower file size" they can try, but if I don't need that, I simply don't and it's cool.

On the contrary, when I say, I don't like newer office versions because I have to "re-learn" everything about it, it speaks about a very limited point of view, and it's hugely debatable.

Just like that, simple poor choice of words.
