  1. I have recently obtained an old dell latitude laptop and I need to connect it to the internet but I'm not sure how to do same. I've looked at the manual online but it doesn't have that information. I want to connect with a cable not with wifi. the unit doesn't have the standard connector site that the newer laptop have. obviously I'm new to this stuff and would appreciate anyone's help.

What model is it? If it doesn't have an rj45 port(for the network cable) then you'll need to get a PCMCIA NIC.

You will probably have to buy a PCMCIA network adapter.
