I am getting ready to go pickup one of my old ribbon ide cables to connect it. As far as getting power to it from this new board, what do I need? Is this a current spare power hookup down there or do I need to bring something from my older PC?

This old IDE drive might greatly slow down your new system

There are standard power connections so I got that figured out

Which aspect of adding a secondary IDE hard drive (60gb western digital) slow my system down? I realize without looking at it that it wont be as fast as my 250gb 7200 seagate....

Basically it might slow your boot up speed greatly... or maybe it won't. I just removed 2 old Western Digital 40GB IDE drives from a computer, and replaced them with a single new Seagate 320GB IDE drive. The boot up speed was greatly improved. Like from 5 minutes to 45 seconds
