Know the feeling. <while jumping up and down like a little kid> Look at my posts on the NewEgg Bad thread ... I am with you. (Hardware grimlins?)
would you believe my PRINTER is now acting up!!!! It won't print out any text. It was streaking ink earlier. There's plenty of ink left and I have done automatic head cleaning numerous times. I have a canon i860 any suggestions?
Good luck Tedster. I've got a friend going back for his second tour in January, and another friend still unsure whether or not he's going on a second tour. Anyway, just know there are still people in the states that appreciate what you do for this country.
I wish the majority would appreciate it. There's a lot of lip service that I saw first hand when I served on recruiting duty. Lots of flag waving, but few man or woman enough to take the call. I'm attempting to soak the print head in glass cleaner 50% ammonia and 50% heated water to unclog the nozzles. I'll let it sit overnight. I think the black ink is completely clogged. Anybody have any good printer head cleaning suggestions?
I think more people appreciate it than you think. One problem now is that the military is really picky on who they take. I read that 90-95% of people who attempt to join the military get rejected, I myself was rejected due to my asthma. I have a friend who was rejected from the navy because of a dui(and other stuff on his criminal record, nothing serious tho), which we're still confused about how he got it since he wasn't the one driving. He's going to try to clear some stuff off his record and get in, but the only way I'd be able to get in is by lying about my asthma. And, according to all the marines I've talked to it would probably only take them a couple weeks to find out that I have it. But I can't say I blame them, they want the best of the best and I guess ya gotta be picky to get it. I've got quite a few friends that have been over in Iraq, and thankfully all of them have made it home so far. So, these people fighting for us aren't just some people who I think are brave, some of them are really good friends, practically brothers to me, and others are family(my cousin is in Iraq now for the next year). So, when I say I appreciate it, just know I really mean it. This country would be nothing without you guys.
I just wipe mine with a paper towel soaked in warm water, then shake it hard in a downward motion until some ink comes out.
yup tried that. I've also tried soaking it in an amonnia/distilled water solution..... still no luck. I've decided to replace the print head.
