Only when boots keyboard and mouse do not work

My keyboard and mouse work perfect in the bios and in windows. When I try to boot from cd or dvd do not work. For example ubuntu. The problem should not be in ubuntu becouse I tried it in virtual machine(oracle Virtual box) and works the keyboard and the mouse. I looked in the bios and I did not see a clear wrong configuration. I am not convinced I should take out for some minutes the battery. May be I could try restoring the default properties in the bios? Thanks.

Sounds like the proper drivers are not getting loaded. Works in VM because probably using windows drivers.
