Outlook 2007 search in Vista, no results?

Going into Tools > Instant Search > Search Options
and unchecking the "Personal Folders" Fixed the problem for me.

Does a reindex solve that problem permanently?

After reindexing you have the content of your mailbox indexed. What is if you wait a week? Do you find also the mails you got in this week or do you have to reindex your mailbox again?

That would interest me very much. My search tool checks every 2 hours if the index is up to date (I use Lookeen).

A answer would be very appreciated from me
