When I close Outlook Express 6 I get the following error message:

    msimn.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x77f536f9" referenced memory at "0x00924c7c". The
memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program.

Can anyone tell me how to stop it from doing this?

    Cheers.

A search of MSKB revealed nothing useful. What OS are you using?

    Two things you can try:

    1. Totally remove the email account that you're using from Outlook Express. Quit OE, reboot, restart OE and recreate it. This has solved many many problems I've ever seen with OE.

    2. (if you're using IMAP at least...) With OE closed, Move/rename your mailbox files. Then let the files be recreated the next time you start OE. If it's POP3, you can typically rename the files, then import them later. If you have a corrupt mailbox, it may be that the files can't be written to. Either one of these steps typically fixes that.

    Hope this helps....
