Overclocking help

    hey i hav
    intel motherboard 946GZIS
    core2duo 1.86Ghz
    512MBx1 RAM stick

    i want to overclock processor n RAM
    but there's no option in RAM...
    can anyone help me pls.....
    is there any bios update for this MBD so that it gives overclocking option...???:confused:

    If it doesn't come with overclocking options to start with, chances are, no update will include it.

    Also, its an Intel made motherboard. Again, my bet is they won't allow overclocks on their boards.

    You'd have to buy a whole new board to be able to overclock, and unleash the true potential of that chip you got there. From experience, its an awesome overclocker (E6300 or E6320 right?)

    yeah... its 6300 and an excellent overclocker... can go upto 3.03 Ghz.... but this board doesnt support it... **sob** **sob **sob**

    hey if i keep the same processor that is T6300 c2d, which motherboard should i prefer...(which has overclocking facility...)??
    can anyone suggest me pls....

    wait, E6300 or T6300?

    I'm not very well versed with laptop CPUs, which the T6300 would suggest.

    For the E6300, I used a gigabyte 965P-DS3R, but I think those are kinda of outdated already, and may be hard to find. The updated P35-DS3 should be a good alternative.
