Running the same chip in my Linux box, could only get it to 2.41Ghz with 200mhz fsb. What is the multiplier set at and what is the current vcore rating?
  3. dustin_ds3000 TechSpot Chancellor

the multiplier is 16 and the vcore is 1.600. i cant change the vcore with this motherboard. i know the multiplier is unlocked but i cant change it in BIOS

Yea the multiplier on the actual processor is unlocked but you need to be able to use it in BIOS. You could probably flash the CMOS with a custom BIOS that supports overclocked settings. Run CPU-Z to get the BIOS model number and then Google up some alternatives. Which motherboard are you running? I might know where to get a custom BIOS with the model of the mobo.
