Need some advice im new and not very good at this stuff so here goes. Im using a asus p5wdh MB and corsair 8500c5 memory. Does anybody know what i can do to get this ram to run at its rated speed of 1066mhz?. i have tried everything but it seems the MB wont let me get over 1000mhz.
I have the same type of problem with that mobo, i have 4 gigs of pc 6400, and it runs at ddr 3500. I have to overclock it to get to its rate speed, and then it becomes unstable and shuts down. Maybe try flashing your bios.
