    HI,
I have a computer that I don't know the Windows login password for. It is running XP. How can I delete the unknown password and then not have a password to login at all?

    Thanks,
    Charlie

do I need to go to safe mode to do this? I don't know the administrator password either, if there is one.

    Thanks,
    Charlie

    Charlie,

You should be able to simply go into safe mode, Go to Control Panel ---> User Accounts, and go from there. In my experience, you won't be asked to enter the original password when you are changing or removing the password/account.

Thank you, I did not check the link before posting. I will make sure to check links in the future to avoid redundancy.
