PC doesn't "wake up" from Sleep Mode

A Dell Dimension E521 running Vista 32-bit does not respond to keyboard or mouse commands to "wake up" from sleep mode. The only way to get back to work is to hold the POWER BUTTON and restart the PC.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Check the settings in the BIOS. That's where it's done.

Check device manager for mouse and keyboard under power management tab. Make sure the box is ticked to allow the device to wake the computer.

My vote is to always turn that ill founded ability to "Never" and on a notebook to what to do when the lid is closed is "do nothing".
