Can anyone help me out

One make sure the system CPU heat-sink fin are not clogged with dust same goes for the PSU and the rest of the system board. If there is dust remove it with a can of dust remover.

Try using AGP video card at 8x with 256MB and Video Sound Card instead of onboard. You might one to do this the easiest way is to buy the AGP card first then try it and see if the hicups go away. Remember to disable onboard video too.

after cleaning if you still have issues, it could be a driver issue, bad or failing PSU, or RAM going bad. The latter two require them to be tested with the proper tools.
