PC won't assign an ip address

I recently had to wipe my computer back to factory settings and now my computer won't assign an ip address. I have used wireless internet for a few years and not had any problems until now. Sometimes it says that I have connected to the wireless internet but wont allow me to actually access it, and other times it says that there is limited or no connectivity. I have tried doing system restore again, uninstalling and reinstalling the router but having no luck.

Any help would be great, I'm fed up of having a computer that I barely use just because of this. And I have barely any computer knowledge so basic terms would be really appreciated.

Please help!

That failure is due to the system not locating the DHCP service on your LAN.

Suggest you use a wired connection and the Network Wizard first.

Then use the Wireless Wizard to connect using WiFi
