PC won't start up

  1. Hello guys

    I have a problem with my TOSHIBA laptop. Since days it wont start up...

    this is what I get:

    first I get a black screen, then sometimes I can choose some functions like normall start up, safe mode etccc otherwise I get another black screen. Then a bit later it finally shows me windows xp screen starting up. but it takes forever and eventually just shuts down

    anything I can try? I kinda need help fast cause there is a document on there I need on wednesday...

    Sorry to be delayed replying.
    If you have not resolved your issue yet...
    You say that you can chose to boot into safe mode.
    If you do so, you should be able to recover your document, export it to a device like a thumb, and then transport it to a functioning computer.

    Please advise if you still need help.
    From Safe mode, we can do some further diagnostic work, and try to get your boot problem resolved.
