Pci-e only x1 , no x16

New build. (Jan 20, 2007)

1. asus p5b deluxe wifi-ap
2. e-geforce 7900 gs ko
3. corsair ddr2 800(pc2 64000)
4. enermax ps elt500awt

updated motherboard bios to (1004) today 1-27-07


I am having graphic interface problems with the pci-e slots.

Using the secondary slot , I can run link width x4 but I have never been able

to run any faster than x1 using the primary slot


I think there is something wrong with my bios settings but what??

is this mobo CAPABLE of going faster than 4x? and also in both slots?

yes, according to the manual.

well, up to x16 in primary slot.
