Maybe this is a totally noob question but I was wondering,

I am currently running a ATI Radeon HD 3870 x2 on a MA790FX DQ6 motherboard, do I need to change any settings to run the PCIE card in 2.0 or should it run itself.

I am under the impression that both products are 2.0 compatible?

How would I know that it is running in 2.0?

I have ran GPUZ v0.2.5, this says that it is running at x16, but doesn't mention 2.0.

Anyone help please

Thanks

Andy

It should natively run at 2.0. Either way 2.0 isnt a huge advantage over regular pci e anyway, but I think you're fine.

No, its not a huge advantage, as no card has achieved the full bandwith of PCI-E 1.0 yet, let alone the doubled 2.0.

And yes, it should run natively at 2.0.

i just said that, lol.

I was just wondering as I had seen a review of other cards that been run under GPUZ v0.2.5, and under the 'Bus Interface' section it read PCIE 2.0 x16 @ x16, whereas mine only reads PCIE x16 @ x16, didn't know if it was running correctly.

Cheers
