I have searched the forums for this problem and I have found a few threads talking about no video being displayed from the PCIe and having to resort to onboard graphics.
My problem is almost identical except for one detail. When I have something plugged into my PCIe slot my comp won't boot and it just "ticks" at me. The "ticks" sound like memory check ticks you normaly hear at boot but they dont stop and it never tries to boot. Any ideas?
System equipment:
Windows Vista 32 bit
AMD Athlon 64 processor 3599+ 2.20 ghz
4 gig dual channel RAM
Geforce 8600 GT
