    Hi all

Im looking for a cheaper / more useful alternative to an integrated GPS for cars.

A combination of a PDA or pocket PC wit ha GPS device + software looks nicer to me and way cheaper. I don't even mention that you can use your PDA once out of the car.

What do you guys think ?

Second question, does anyone have a clue on which brand or which model I should consider to get the cheapest yet nice system for a car setup ?

    Thanks a lot

I've played around with the PDA and Cell Phone gps units available here in the states.

So far, it's pretty unreliable, from what I've seen. Sometimes they're off significantly, or more often than not unable to find a satellite.

Perhaps a dedicated GPS device would be better?
