Hello,

I had system with
Pentium 4 3.46GHz 1066 2MB Extreme
ASUS Extreme AX850 XT Platinum Edition
ASUS P5AD2-E-Premium motherboard
4GB DDR2 Kingston

and I just wonder if I could overclock the CPU ? If so could you please show me how to do it and what kind of benefit do i get after overclocked the CPU
Thank you very much for all the helps.

Do u really want to overclock that rig????!!!! :suspiciou

I think it is better off without overclocking , the performance gain is not worth it.

if u really want to try invest some money in some nice Cooling solution maybe water cooling.

all the best. :grinthumb

WIth that CPU you are already using a fairly high FSB (266mhz I believe) and your ram is pretty high up there as well (Most likely you are using DDR2-533, also 266mhz). Your only option for overclocking Intel processors is raising the FSB, and I doubt you have much headroom with a CPU that new. It's worth a shot, if overclocking is your bag, but don't expect big results. However, if you really want advice or information on overclocking per-se, you should ask this question in the Cooling/Modding forum, where it belongs.
