playing games on widescreen monitors, does it stretch the image?

  1. Hello, I was thinking of buying a widescreen TFT and I was wondering whether when playing games it would stretch the image or simply fit more on the screen.

Also if I bought a widescreen monitor would the aspect ratio allow me to watch dvds without the black lines?

    Thanks,

    Alex

sometimes it will crop, some will stretch and some will stay aspect ratio same or just wont budge... depends on how its programed to display and also what your vid card can do...

yeh.. that will do the trick nonetheless.. but as i said.. its always gonna be dependant on how the visual aspect was made.. like setting 4:3 aspect ratio while watching the dvd on a widescreen 16:9 tv..... you get what i mean? it will only show 4:3..
