  1. Please examine this dump - BSOD ntbackup

    I am experiencing a BSOD on my W2003 server system when I am using ntbackup. It is possible to start ntbackup and VSS is starting but then it stops..
    Please have a look at my minidump files.

    Hi Amalia,

    All of your minidumps are crashed with same symptom. The culprit is Norton AV as your vesion of Norton causes blue screen. Upgrade or de-install Norton AV resolves the blue screen

    Ntbackup & Symantec 10.0.1 & BSOD....

    Thank you for your quick response.

    Among other changes to the system, I upgraded Symantec Enterprise from version 9 to 10. I found an article on the Symantec site "Blue-screen error when backup software runs with Symantec AntiVirus 10.x installed" (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...005ae7f2?OpenDocument&src=bar_sch_nam&seg=ag). Upgrading to version 10.0.2 should solve this issue.
