My Dell Inspiron desktop is running Windows Vista. It has been running slow today. It would not boot up for half the day. Now it boots up, but takes forever to get to the sign in menu and, once signed in, takes forever to load the desktop. The Internet is also a little slow.

Your logs are clean- malware is not what's causing the slowdown.

Please tell me how much RAM you have installed.

The symptoms you describe sound more like some problem with your ISP and/or internet connection. Can you be more specific?

I have 2 GB of RAM. The problem is gone today. That's wierd...

That should be enough RAM. the fact that it has resolved today most surely puts the problem with the ISP.
