Please review my build before I purchase

How much is your budget? The build I've come up with is around 1100 or so. I want to stay close to this

Where are you located? Pennsylvania

Are you willing to buy online? Yes, preferably

Are you going to re-use any parts from an earlier build? No

Do you need other peripherals like a monitor, keyboard and mouse, among others? Need a monitor.

Have you already bought any parts? No

Do you have an Operating System (OS)? No, I can get windows 7 professional 64 bit through my school for free

Will you need any aftermarket cooling, such as a CPU\GPU cooler or a water cooling setup? Getting a CPU cooler

looks pretty good. I would probably go with the GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard and Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s hard drive If I was building it but the hardware you selected is fine. Those are mostly personal preferences. I've always preferred gigabyte motherboards although I've heard most of the newer ASRock boards are decent (ASRock is owned by ASUS). The HDD I listed should improve performance since it has 64 mb cache and supports SATA 6gbps although it does cost $30 more.

At what resolution do you intend to game? For most purposes the HD 6950 1 GB would suffice. As for the case, I strongly suggest that you pick up a Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced.
