  1. I think i have a virus or spyware on my computer.
    Since about 2 days ago ive been getting pop-ups telling me to install fake malware
    removal programs. ive been searching google but the only good place was forums.
    the popups things like malwarealarm and antispywaremaster and etc... fake stuff, also ive been getting this message
    from time to time since,

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

    Buffer overrun detected!

    Program: C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE

    A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's
    internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must
    now be terminated.

    when i click ok the whole explorer restarts itself and sometime it doesnt even restart.
    could anyone please help me to remove this virus.
    ive tried V3 which is fully paid for and used. but wouldnt pick it up.
    also Ad-aware, which could not pick the virus up.
    and also a program called ALyac which pick up a whole lot of other viruses.
    dlso internet is very slow at some site and at some addresses.

    ive read some other posts and ive followed the instructions of posting my hijackthis
    log, changed the name to Crusty.exe and all.
    please help me.
