Popups, and triangles need vanquishing

  1. Okay, I am new here, so, I am pleased to meet you all. Let's get down to business. I have installed all the programs, hjt, as aware, spybot, get your hinnie off my computer, and so on and so on. My system is clean. Sort of. I keep getting these annoying little popups for dating (happily married), casinos (don't gamble, my money is mine). And worst of all, I keep getting this little yellow triangle with an ! in it that takes me too a spyware page. Each time it is a different site. Can somebody tell me how I can send this stuff to the morgue, before I have to get it a birth certificate?

    Thanks all

Yeah, I have gone through those. I have a question about a registry entry if can help. It is.....

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/software/microsoft/windows/current version/policies/explorer

Now my question is, if this keeps coming up in a program, and even after I do a reboot and start that program over as soon as possible before I do anything else on the computer, if I delete this entry, or modify it in someway, will it hurt my computer

Also I get this at the bottom of the hjt

O23-Service: Microsoft SSL (ssl)-unknown owner-C:\Windows\System32\ssl.exe (file is missing)

Could this be any of my problems?

You obviously did NOT follow that post.

Messing with the registry is never a good thing.

And you should really install SP2, you are missing out on vital protection, the way your system is.
