Inactive Possible Malware - Internet Explorer Issues

Status
Not open for further replies.
Hi there,

I think I have some kind of malware infection, but I can't seem to find it with any antivirus/antimalware program. I run Windows 7 Professional and Avast! free antivirus. I have very odd behavior in Internet Explorer 10:
1) I cannot download any files in Internet Explorer. When I click to download a file (say, FILENAME.ZIP), it tries to download a file with the extension name added with an underscore (so, it will ask me do I want to open or save FILENAME_ZIP instead of FILENAME.ZIP). No matter what choice I click -- Save, Open, Etc -- it does not respond, and no file ever downloads.

2) Opens in the "View" menu do not work. So, if I go to View -> Source, or View -> Refresh, or View -> Full Screen, nothing happens.

3) I ran CCleaner and deleted all temporary files from IE10. After doing so, Internet Explorer worked perfectly for about 10 minutes. Then it reverted to the same behavior described above. I repeated CCleaner/deleting temporary files, and again the problem was fixed temporarily. However, it continues to return.

4) I cannot run Combofix, but this is a problem I've had on every computer I've ever used. I don't know what the problem is, but Combofix has never worked for me, on any computer (I have two desktops and a laptop). It reaches the point where it creates a System Restore, or something like that, and then freezes.

Here are my logs from MalwareBytes and DDS.
