Possible Virus on My Pc?

One day I was browsing the internet like normal, I went the website genius to look up lyrics for a certain song and all of a sudden a new tab popped up and downloaded something to my pc immediately, I didn't even have a chance to click off. Afterwards I scanned my whole pc with windows defender but it said it couldn't find anything. A day later I got an email saying that there have been many log in attempts for my epic account. Can someone shoot some ideas?

Also there is malwarebytes it will mostly get rid of deep malware infections unless there is a rootkit and possible infection preventing the removal.
