Solved Potentially infected... Chrome (not working), shuts down upon opening program

What exactly happens with Chrome?
Did you try to reinstall it?

I tried to reinstall before we began the cleaning process, but have not tried since you confirmed the computer is clean.

Chrome opens, and in a yellow banner near the top says chrome did not shut down correctly and gives the option to restore. A moment later, the page unresponsive message appears along with an error report window that says chrome has encountered a problem and needs to close we are sorry for the inconvenience. Once I click in that window, send or don't send, chrome shuts down.

This began occurring after the most recent update for chrome. Stopped working on my desktop. Then a few days ago I hit the update on my laptop, and the browser does the same thing on my laptop now as well.

Try to uninstall/reinstall now.

Uninstalled and reinstalled. Chrome still does not work and same error occurs.

Did you delete all user data when uninstalling?

Deleted all user data when uninstalling. Reinstalled and still same issue.
