Power Cord Question

    I accidentally swapped my monitors 125v cord with my pcs 250v cord for a short period of time. They are now inserted where they should be. But could any negative effects to equipment be produced by this error?

    depends on the situation. If they are both IEC cables and appear identical there should be no side effects provided you are supplying them the correct voltage. However, if the cables have transformers on them, you are going to damage the monitor if you put 125v into it.

    Yes they are both IEC and look almost exactly identical which is why I mixed them up. The only real way to tell the difference is that one says 125v on the chasis plug and the other 250v.
