Laptop does not run off of power supply at all. Will not even turn on power light . power light will light up with battery and the battery light will stay on. Does not make it to cmos to boot up. Like no power going to energize cmos. Cpu fan, hard drive and display does not attempt to power up. On/off button will turn power on will not turn off power. In order to turn off power had to remove battery. Was using a known good power supply also a known good battery. Originally thought problem was in power supply socket on motherboard. Replaced with new socket. Getting 13.9 vdc and 19.4 vdc into socket pins on board getting 13.9 vdc to battery connector. Getting 5 vdc out of 2 pins on battery connector. Looking for more suggestion to solve problem. Possibly free download schematic of motherboard.

1. Bad memory module.
2. Bad cpu fan.
3. Bad video graphics.
4. Dead motherboard. Suggest replace. $140 tested to $190 new on eBay.
Do sniff test for burned odor. Do strong light exam for changes in color or burnished look along circuit lines, or bulging circuits.
