my pc will not turn on unless the voltage is at 230 instead of 115, before i go and leave it on i want to know if it will damage my hardware in any way? it used to run just fine on 115, then after awhile it would only work if i unplugged most of the stuff, now it doesnt even turn on if just the harddrive is plugged in, thats when i tried the voltage switch, it turned on and stayed on just fine, i just dont want any damage to take place. help would be greatly appreciated

    Where do you live?

If your real mains voltage is 115V then you should get your PSU fixed/replaced. I wouldn't risk running it at 220 very long.

If your mains voltage is 220V then 220 setting is the way it is supposed to work. If it wokred at 115 then you were very lucky not to burn down you PSU or motherboard.
