I’m wanting to install valid licensed Windows 7 on my new build. I’m doing this thinking upgrading to W10 will be an easy upgrade. Can you tell me if this will work?

I’m asking IF I purchased a licensed copy of Windows 7 would I then be able to upgrade through the windows 8 would that permit me to download the upgrade to Windows 10? The link you sent seems to suggest the affirmative.

Hi! OK ! You have a new build. I'm assuming you don't have a operating system installed. Your asking if you purchase a licensed copy of W7, would you be able to upgrade to W10. The only thing I can tell you is that even though the time limit has expired to get the free upgrade, users have still been able to get the upgrade free. It my not work tomorrow. I can't guarantee it will work. I have a friend who is a computer tech and repairman and he has told me that he has been able to get the W10 upgrade if the W7 or W8.1 Key was legit.
Here's a link on techspot you might find interesting.

AFAIK that free upgrade offer has expired. If you have used that offer previously and have made Windows 10 upgrade, then you can re-install Windows 10.

No need to upgrade. Buy the license for Windows 7. Then use the Fall Media Creator Dvd and during the install when it asks for the code, use the Windows 7 key and it will install Windows 10 free and activated using the following site and select "Download Tool Now": https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
That said there is probably no difference in price buying Windows 10 than there is buying Windows 7 Dvd

Thanks so much for your response!

I’m wanting to upgrade my DDR2 800 PC2 6400 ram on my machine. Can you steer me to a link in which I can buy it. I’ve searched for it online with no joy.
