Print & File Sharing

I have 2 computers sharing an internet connection using a router #1 is WinXP & #2 is Win2K. I would like to share files & a printer between the two. I have found so much information on the web that I'm totally confused. Could someone please tell me how to configure each computer step by step and whether or not I have to install the printer software on the 2nd. computer. Any help will be greatly appreciated,

The easiest way to do this is to run the network connection setup wizard on the XP machine, it will ask you a series of questions, then at the end it will give you a choice of 4 things to do. 1 of which is create a network setup disk to use on other computers. Create that disk and put it in the 2k machine and run whatever it is on there (I forget) and you should be set.
