Printer problem with web pages

  1. Unusual problem this I think, a friend has a Canon IP4200 printer that prints fine from Word etc but if he tries to print off a web page the printer tries to print and then throws up an error message about no paper, even though there is plenty.
As it prints OK from everything except the web males me assume that communication between computer and printer are OK, as the printer tries to print from a website suggests some instruction is going from pc to printer but somewhere along the line it gets scrambled and throws up the error message.

Has anyone else come up against a similar problem or can you suggest a possible resolution?

What happens if you copy and paste the webpage into a word document and then print it?
It may be a matter of paper size given that webpages do not normally have a paper size associated with them.
