    Hello everyone,
I have an older Lexmark P3100 All in One Printer that I have been using on my PC Windows XP regularly....never a problem.
Today I went to print something and a window popped up and said "Computer can not communicate with the Priner"!
I checked all wiring...everything is secure...I unistalled and then reinstalled....but nothing.
Even went as far as changing printers....still get that window popping up and saying the same thing. Also downloaded the latest drivers....but no help.

    Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you....any advice would be appreciated.

Assuming it's a USB printer, you have to suspect the cable or the port.
Try a new cable (Unlikely). Delete the USB ports in Control Panel/Device Manager and try again.
    Try a different port.
