problem ADSL modem

Hi, Thankyou all for your help so far, but can anyone shed some light on this...
Can anyone tell me how i can test a BT VOYAGER 200 modem coz i just bought a secondhand one and it doesn't seem to work???
I am on AOL silver and have a D-LINK DI-514 router and i want togo wireless with my laptop i know i can't use my AOL software with it but am quite happy using IE, i've done everything by the book and set up my router and downloaded latest drivers for modem too but the new hardware wiz. does'nt kick in when installing and i'm at a loss! THANKS AGAIN HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP

Do you have your microfilters in place?

To bad I don't know much of anything about ADSL modems. Their web site says it should be automatic setup. But I imagine your service provide has to setup the modem? Or you have to put your username and password into it somehow or some kind of codes?

Did you call your ISP and see if they can see it?

That's as far as I can muster. Don't come across ADSL in my area much.

If you are connecting your modem via the ethernet, then you don't need any drivers..

"doesn't seem to work" means what? What exactly did you do "by the book"?
