Hey, i had some troubles with my system so i used the system repair.
When i restarted my computer it had a win2k theme on it instead of the .msstyles that was on it before.
I figued it was because of windowblinds but after uninstalling it nothing changed.
Now if i look at the apperiance tab under desktop properties, there are only 2 styles in the "windows and buttens" scroll, "windows classic style" and "windows XP style".
When ever I try to run a .msstyles file, it opens the properties on that tab but thats it , the new style doesnt appear on the list it just opens the windows.
Please help me out this is devastating to me.... :(

describe in detail what you did in System Repair.

'Usually' --- restoring from a System Restore point will fix this stuff.

Those files are generic and can be copied from one user profile to another
eg:
C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\*

strangely, I find no msstyles

I performed a regular system repair from the CD, after which, .msstyles files stoped functioning....
